Each specimen collected during the course of the Project is supported by a precise record of:
- locality
- habitat (topography, soil, light, moisture, vegetation, and elevation)
- associated species
- (and, for rare species) information concerning the local population of the species in question (size, area, phenology, demography, and threats)
All of this data is compiled into a Project database, which is used as the basis for entries into:
- the database on the General Status of Wild Species
- the ongoing updating of the Annotated Checklist of the Vascular Plants of Newfoundland and Labrador
- the tracking lists of the Atlantic Canada Conservation Data Centre
- the Atlantic Canada Conservation Data Centre's element occurrence database
